Cranfield Aviation Training are proud to introduce our SACAA Accredited RPAS Ground School Training Program, for pilots looking to become qualified RPL license holders.

The first RPL – Remote Pilot License – theory course has been running since early 2016 with fantastic responses from our students. The duration of the course is 7 days, with the first 6 days being the vital RPL theoretical component, followed by day 7 which is dedicated to Radio License Certification and English Proficiency, as part of the mandatory requirements for licensing.

The Practical Instruction course is carried out from our CAA approved airfield – Serendipity – conveniently situated just outside  Fourways

Existing Pilots

For pilots currently in possession of a valid manned Pilot License (NPL, PPL, CPL or ATP ) only days 1, 2 and 3 of the Theoretical Course are mandatory. As a result the applicable course cost will be R 5 400.00 excl VAT.

Our CAA approved airfield – Serendipity – is situated just 15 minutes outside Fourways towards Hartebeespoort Dam. Here we offer practical drone instruction in a peaceful setting with the the required amenities.
