UKZN Occupational Therapy Continuous Professional Development

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities are organised based on needs identified by practitioners in the field. Activities presented during 2014 included clinical supervision and ethics, bridging the dis-ease of social isolation: empathetic care of the chronically ill and cognitively impaired (memory bridge) by an international speaker, and the basic seating workshop (twice).

The activities still to happen include a workshop for support staff at the end of July, ethics for support staff and their supervisors at the end of August and the intermediate seating workshop in September. Some of the other activities have had to be put on hold due to circumstances beyond our control, but will be presented once we are able to – these include assessment for disability grants, therapeutic use of scrapbooking and introducing research into practice.

For the upcoming CPD activities please enlist your contact details with Ntokozo Cele on email [email protected] or Tel: 031 2607821/Fax: 031 2607227.  We will email you when we have CPD activities.
