About Mangosuthu University of Technology

It was in 1974 that an idea was conceived to establish an institution of higher education that will specialize in technical education.

This idea was birthed by KwaZulu’s Chief Minister Dr. Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

This happened to respond to the need for technicians as this is what has made all great nations what they are today.

The project receive the green light in 1977

By 1979 buildings were up and teaching had begun.

Fast forward, in 2007, what was named as Mangosuthu Technikon became renamed as Mangosuthu University of Technology.

The intake opened on May 20, 2019, for both undergraduate and postgraduate prospective students.

If you are a citizen of South Africa, you will need

A copy of the receipt showing you paid the fee for application
A verified copy of your Document of Identity, only the first page
Senior Certificate ( Verified Copy)
Recent Marks got in Grade 11 if you are not done with Grade 12
If you have any qualifications from any higher institution, please add the verified copies.
If you have any documents that may be needed for the specific program of study you are aspiring as you see in the form as demanded, add them

If you are not a South African citizen, you will need

A copy of the receipt showing you paid the fee for application
Verified passport copy or permanent residence permit
Medical aid or a valid medical insurance cover
Verified copies of your certificate, if not in English, add a translation in English
If you are applying with a WAEC or NECO certificate, add a scratch card
If what you have is from Cambridge, make sure you have passed all your 5 subjects at the Ordinary Level, this should include the English Language
For students from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo or Cameroon, add transcripts or any proof of your results and their translations as given by your embassy
If you have any documents that may be needed for the specific program of study you are aspiring as you see in the form as demanded, add them
If you are seeking transfer from another university, you will need to submit

Submitting Documents Online

Note:

If you are NOT YET I8 as of the time you are applying, you need to submit a Declaration from.
You have to scan every document, and then upload them one by one as indicated in the code of each certificate
Scan every document separately and submit them as indicated

Sice os the file should not be more than 2MB each.
