Central Johannesburg College Health Courses,The purpose of this qualification is to instill and maintain service excellence within the beauty industry. This qualification provides a framework for students to develop competencies that will enable them to become competent in the beauty and/or cosmetology field.
The qualification at NQF level 3 is the first building block and students can further their studies at NQF level 4 for a more defined beauty therapy learning path.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
For NQF Level 3: Grade 10 OR Recognition of Prior learning (PRL)
For NQF Level 4: Cosmetology / Beauty NQF Level 3 Technology
DURATION & REGISTRATION
The duration of study for each level is one year
Registration takes place once a year, in January
ASSESSMENT
- Evaluations are cumulative, based on regular tests as well as practical evaluations on each unit standard
- Students must complete all scheduled assessments (test, norm tests, projects and examinations) as per instructional offering requirements
- Theory counts for 50% while practical counts for 70% of the final mark • Students will be internally assessed by registered assessors and externally moderated by a moderator registered by the relevant Quality Assurance body
