The Survival Centre, superbly positioned at Granger Bay, next to the V&A Waterfront and Table Bay Harbour, is just 4 km from the heart of Cape Town. The enclosed harbour area and extensive training facilities have provided an ideal center for maritime training over the past 35 years.

The Survival Centre is a full member of the International Association for Safety and Survival Training (IASST). All maritime safety courses are accredited by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) via the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The Survival Centre’s Quality Management System is Certified by the SABS according to the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. All courses are based on international requirements adapted to local operational conditions where applicable.

As part of our Community Outreach Initiatives we provide all relevant Training to NSRI Volunteers and especially the Air/ Sea Rescue Team which incorporates the SAAF. We also provide training to all relevant rescue services such as the AMS, PAWC and SAPS. We pride ourselves in providing training to all Maritime Rescue Services on an ongoing basis.
