Application fee
If you are a citizen, a fee of R245 which is non-refundable is to be paid
If you are not a South African citizen, you will pay R300
Applicants who submit their application after 31 October, will need to pay a fee of:
These will increase after the 31st of October to R400 for citizens and R500 for non-citizens

How to submit your documents for application
Please Note:
DUT will verify your documents for authenticity.**
Don’t submit originals, send copies that have been certified, these should be attached to your form.
You can certify your documents at a court or police station.
If you are a citizen of South Africa, you will need
- A copy of the receipt showing you paid the fee for application
- A verified copy of your Document of Identity, only the first page
- Senior Certificate ( Verified Copy)
- Recent Marks got in Grade 11 if you are not done with Grade 12
- If you have any qualifications from any higher institution, please add the verified copies.
- If you have any documents that may be needed for the specific program of study you are aspiring as you see in the form as demanded, add them
If you are not a South African citizen, you will need
- A copy of the receipt showing you paid the fee for application
- Verified passport copy or permanent residence permit
- Verified copies of your certificate, if not in English, add a translation in English
- If you are applying with a WAEC or NECO certificate, add a scratch card
- For students from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo or Cameroon, add transcripts or any proof of your results and their translations as given by your embassy
- If you have any documents that may be needed for the specific program of study you are aspiring as you see in the form as demanded, add them
Submitting Documents Online
Note:
- If you are NOT YET I8 as of the time you are applying, you need to submit a Declaration.
- You have to scan every document, and then upload them one by one as indicated in the code of each certificate
- Scan every document separately and submit them as indicated
- pdf, or jpeg types files that are accepted
- Sice os the file should not be more than 2MB each.
If you are a citizen and currently upgrading your Grade 12 results or TVET
- You will have to submit a proof of registration for your upgrade
