ENGINEERING AND SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE

The Engineering and Skills Training Centre (preciously known as Lebowakgomo campus) is situated in Lebowakgomo.

The name of the centre explains the type of programmes being offered at this centre. All Engineering-related programmes as well as Skills programmes are being offered here.

The Engineering and Skills Training Centre is addressing the skills shortages in South Africa through the programmes that are being offered.

A fully-equipped Mechanical Workshop is being used by the NCV Engineering Related Design programme so that student can apply their theoretical knowledge.

One of the subjects in this programme is Automotive Repair and Maintenance whereby students need to understand fundamentals of engine technology, balance a wheel, select and use vehicle lifting equipment, carry out a service, remove, test, fit and service batteries etc. All this theoretical knowledge is being applied in this workshop.

Assistant Chef, Table Attendant, Clothing Production and Hand-on Electrical Engineering and –Mechanical Engineering are the other skills programmes being offered at this centre.

Hostel accommodation is available at the centre for college students.
