Umbilo Further Education and Training College(Pty) College is registered with CIPRO, Reg No: 2006/021076/07 and the Department of Higher Education and Training as an Examination Centre with Centre Number 0599995551 since August 1998.

The CEO and Owner of the College, Mr George M Norval, started the College in August 1998.

With an initial intake of five (5) full time and one hundred and two (102) part time students, the average intake during 2015 is currently in excess of one thousand four hundred and seventy three (1473) students, per trimester, on a full and part time basis.

The College is registered with CIPRO, Reg No: 2006/021076/07 and the Department of Higher Education and Training as an Examination Centre with Centre Number 0599995551 since August 1998.

Listed on the Department of Higher Education and Training’s website as a provisional provider of Private Education and Training until 2018.
Additional Registrations include; Umalusi, the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, (Registration number Umalusi: Prov Acc: 15FET02 00026PA), is indicated as a accredited candidate, subject to a yearly monitoring report.

The College’s Engineering Skills Course is asccredited by EWSETA – 583ETQA11SP0302 and consist of 10 Modules.

The primary function of this outcome based course is to assist first time learners with Vocational knowledge before they continue with the N Courses.

It also serves as a basis to correlate theory with practical.
