Accepting an offer to study at UKZN

Congratulations, you have been offered a place to study at UKZN in 2018. Please accept the offer within 3 days by completing the relevant forms (listed below) that are available on: Checking Application Status and Accepting the Offer to Study. You can download them by clicking on the relevant download option. If you do not accept the offer within 3 days, the offer will be withdrawn and you will not be allowed to register. The place will be offered to another applicant because the university receives more applications than it can accommodate.

2.Acceptance of Offer Form applicable to you. Please ensure that the Acceptance of Offer Form you select (below) corresponds with the type of offer you were made. If you would like to confirm your offer status visit UKZN Status Check

3.Acceptance of Offer fee

a.South African first time applicants pay an Acceptance of Offer fee of R250. Please note:

Acceptance of Offer fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another applicant or carried over to the following year.

If you have already accepted an offer and at a later stage want to accept a different offer, you will be required to decline your first acceptance with that College before you will be able to accept a new offer.

b.South African postgraduate applicants do not pay an acceptance fee.

c.International full time applicants (other than Masters and PhD) are required to pay their tuition and residence fees in full before they will be allowed to register. Please consult the Fees Office about payment of levies (where required).

4.Payment of Acceptance of Offer:a. South African students

If a letter is required for a bank or sponsor, please contact your College by

using the details provided in the table below. Be sure to provide your student number.

If you have been awarded residence accommodation you have to complete the Residence Acceptance of Offer form in addition to the form accepting a place in your College.

d.Submission/return of forms and proof of payment

Please return the documents listed below to your College at the addresses provided below either in person, by faxing or scanning and emailing:

Indemnity form (Completed and signed)

Relevant completed and signed Acceptance of Offer form

Completed and signed Residence Acceptance of Offer form (where applicable)

Proof of payment of deposit (local) or full fees (international)

Certified copy of an ID/Passport

Certified copy of results/certificate

Please have copies certified off campus before submission to Colleges, as UKZN Commissioners may not be available at this time.
