In addition to these minimum requirements, applicants will be evaluated based on their academic transcripts and the written essays, which form part of the application process.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
Applicants who only have a formal qualification at NQF level 7 (typically a 3-year bachelor’s or BTech degree), but who have extensive work experience in the environmental sector, may be recommended to enter into the RPL process. This process is handled by the University of the Free State RPL Office and involves compiling a portfolio of relevant work experience.
