Mentoring of undergraduate students
If you are willing to assist in the mentoring process of undergraduate students you will be investing in the future!
You will be given a list of students in your area with whom you can correspond and encourage in their studies on a weekly or monthly basis. Because you have completed your programme of study, you have much to offer in encouragement and guidance. You will understand that distance learning is sometimes very lonely and a long process. Thank you for making yourself available to help encourage struggling students! Contact [email protected] for more information.
Participating in research projects
SATS desires always to be on the cutting edge and abreast of the needs in the local church. We will seek to undertake the following research projects:
- Updating course material
- Post-graduate research
- Background research for published literature
Contact [email protected] or [email protected] for information regarding current research projects.
Writing articles for Christian Lounge
We are always looking for good articles and links to post on our website that students can use for assignments or just increase their knowledge on different issues. Sermon notes are also a great help! Send them through to [email protected] for evaluation/editing.
Donations: Bursaries for underprivileged students
We currently have a bursary waiting list of over 100 potential students, some of which are very keen and eager to study but due to personal circumstances, they are unable to afford their studies. Your contribution would be an open door for the development and education of future Christian workers. If you would like to make a one time donation to our bursary fund or a monthly contribution please complete the payment coupon form and fax it through with your deposit slip to +27-11-234-4445 or email with the confirmation of your online payment to [email protected]. Assisting with seminars and conferences at SATS
It is our goal to organise and be involved in many different conferences and events throughout the year. If you would like, we will inform you of upcoming events so that you can register or assist. Should you have any special needs or contributions to make, kindly contact the Projects Director – Jenny ([email protected]) for more information on +27-11-234-4440.
Marking assignments for undergraduate courses
SATS is always looking for qualified and willing markers to assist at times where the workload is very heavy for the full-time assessors. From time to time, we offer training seminars, please contact the seminary to find out when the next training seminar will take place. There is no cost for the training however, booking is essential. If you cannot attend one of the sessions, we will set up a time for you to speak to a Senior Academic, who will guide you through the process of marking assignments. E-Learning tutors are also needed for different courses throughout the year contact [email protected] for more information.
