Northern Technical FET College was established out of a desire to contribute positively to Further Education and Training Development Programmes based on best practices, policies and procedures in South Africa by providing quality assured learning programmes under the auspices of UMALUSI and endorsed by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
It is backed by its cornerstone principles of solid expertise, passion, ethical values and sustainable impact through project and quality management interventions where necessary by our professionally qualified management, academic committee/board of directors/council comprising qualified subject matter experts and associated registered assessors and moderators.
The main focus of the college is the provision of a wide range of educational training development interventions through National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and National Qualification Framework (NQF) aligned learning programme with the view of improving productivity through potable skills development initiatives nationally and predominantly in Limpopo Province.
Value Net Analysis
Our diverse staff compliment is comprised of dedicated professional qualified individuals and support staff who demonstrate an appreciation and understanding by adding value to their respective roles and responsibilities within an accredited and legislatively compliant academic Further Education and Training College.
This development arose from our internal strategic management objectives which is vested in and driven by Senior Management and Board of Directors by the Principal. It is quite evident that the strategic management of the institution will be a joint effort between both these critical parties i.e. Senior Management and Board of Directors.
The rigorous recruitment and selection and subsequent nomination of requisite personnel is carried out by making use of our internal policies and procedures to ensure their match and envisaged value-adds to the institution’s vision, mission and value statements.
Senior Management
Our professionally qualified Principal is responsible and mandated for the overall management of the institution with the support of the Board of Directors, Academic Committee and Council members.
Board of Directors The Board of Directors is led by reputable individuals who demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the needs of the institution’s roles and responsibilities and cosmopolitan population. Our Board of Directors is composed of the following:

Academic Board
The composition of the Academic Board is made up of subject matter experience from the various faculties who are familiar with National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and 3 National Qualification Framework (NQF) aligned learning programmes (qualifications and skills programmes).
Lecturers/Facilitators
Heads of Departments within the various faculties are in the forefront of quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation of the various facilitators/lecturers’ performance and compliance to quality learning provision.
Assessors/Moderators In-house and external Assessors/Moderators who are fully qualified and registered subject matter experts are utilised for assessing and moderating our learner achievements in line with SAQA’s National Learner Record Database, UMALUSI, Primary and Secondary SETA ETQAs, Department of Higher Education uploading and eventual certification wherever applicable.
Administration/Support Staff Our administrative/support staff are adequately competent to pursue their respective roles and responsibilities to ensure prevailing and continued pursuance of maintaining our institutional reputation as an excellent centre of learning.

We would also like to empower both the small and larger population of South Africa’s municipalities, government department, public and private sector through building capacity and making skills acquisition tangible and accessible to the different communities, institutions and young aspiring learners and make a contribution to decrease the skills shortage that South Africa for a better future for all.
