NMU Short Course in Neonatal Resuscitation
The purpose of the Short Learning Programme is to enhance the knowledge of health care professional’s management and caring for neonates suffering from a cardio-respiratory arrest.
Layout of the SLP
- A two-day, non-credit bearing programme at 800 per person inclusive of material and refreshments
- Dates: Still to be confirmed
- A registered NMMU Short Learning Programme (SLP)
Learning components include theory and practica:
- Basic knowledge on cardio-respiratory anatomy and physiology
- The indications and rationale for initiating the different levels of neonatal resuscitation
- Encourage anticipation of and make health care professionals more aware of the complications related to neonatal resuscitation
