NMU Short Course in Conflict Management for Health Professionals

The purpose of this SLP is to empower healthcare managers/team leaders to effectively identify, prevent and manage conflict in their area of work.

Layout of the SLP

• A three –day, non-credit bearing programme (one day per week over three weeks) at R1000 per person inclusive of material and refreshments
• Dates: 3-4 July 2017
• A registered NMMU Short Learning Programme

Learning components include theory and practica:

• Describe the nature and effects of conflict in the healthcare context
• Describe the factors that escalate conflict in healthcare environments
• Apply strategies to/for resolving conflict in healthcare environments
