Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Second Semester Application

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Second Semester Application

The admission requirements are mainly based on symbols obtained in the Grade 11 or Grade 12 June/September examinations. Each programme has its own requirements. Prospective students should consult the Admissions Office before applying.

Once you’ve submitted your form you may be required to write a placement test. Admission or acceptance is subject to the minimum admission requirements, outcomes of the placement test and the weighted matric average mark or weighted matric score as decided by the faculty.

Submission of a completed admission form does not imply that you have been accepted as a student, or that you may register. All applicants will be notified, in writing, of the outcome of their application.

APPLICATIONS FOR ACADEMIC ADMISSION: JANUARY INTAKE

Online applications for the university’s next January intake are now open. In order to ensure adequate time for processing, testing, portfolios, interviews and planning by the university and yourself, applications for admission in the following year should be submitted before 1 August this academic year. In addition, places for some qualifications are limited; it is therefore in your best interest to submit your application early.

BTech & Advanced Diploma applications
Nelson Mandela University students who are currently completing either a Diploma or National Diploma (NDip) at this university and would like to apply for these qualifications are required to only complete the “BTech and Advanced Diploma Application Form”. The completed form must be submitted to the admissions office before 1 August (no supporting documentation required). Prospective students who have already completed their diploma studies either at Nelson Mandela University or elsewhere, and opted to enter the work force or take a gap year before commencing their BTech/Advanced Diploma studies, would need to complete an “online application form”  and submit certified copies of their ID, academic record and certificate of conduct along with other documentation in order for their applications to be considered.
