Mopani South East College comprises of two campuses and a Hotel School, namely: Sir Val Duncan, Phalaborwa and Mošate Hotel School.

Sir Val Duncan Campus is located in Namakgale, Phalaborwa Campus and Mošate Hotel School are in Phalaborwa.

The college offers a variety of skills and learnership programmes in partnership with Government Setas. In this way, the college aims to fill economic demands of the community.



Mopani South East College offers critical skills in Engineering programmes that supply the mining and construction sectors, tourism-which include cookery and hospitality sectors- financial training that supplies banks, and business studies.
Students graduating from Mopani South East FET College often secure employment with lodges, hotels and game farms in the area before completing their studies; and these places of employment also provide crucial workplace exposure and internships for students.

CAMPUS:

Mopani South East FET College comprises of two campuses and a Hotel School. They are namely;

Faculty of Education and Training

  • Nated Programmes start from N3 to N6 in Engineering Studies and from N4 to N5 in Business Studies.
  • It takes minimum of four Trimesters for Engineering Studies to complete the programmes
  • Three Semesters to complete programmes

Admission Requirements for NCV

  • Grade 12 certificate or an NQF Level 1/ ABET Level 4 qualification.
  • A minimum Grade 12 certificate or N3 certificate in Business Studies and N2/ in Engineering Studies.
  • NCV Programmes start from Level 2 to Level 4.
  • Each level is a year Course.
  • It takes minimum of three years to complete all levels.

Admission Requirements for NCV



  • A year end school report for Grade 9/10/11 or Grade 12 certificate or an NQF Level 1/ ABET Level 4 qualification or an approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2 or a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

Admission Requirements for Mošate Hotel Schools

  • A minimum of Grade 10 for Assistant Chef and Grade 12 for Diploma in Food Preparation Culinary Art.
  • Learners interested in registering will write compulsory admission test (CAP Test).
