Milpark Business School admission or entry requirement

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY ROUTE 1

Admission to the qualification is subject to academic selection criteria. The applicant must:

  • be at least 25 years old
  • have a recognised postgraduate diploma, honours degree, accredited four-year Bachelor’s degree (that exits at Level 8) or equivalent
  • have a minimum of three to four years’ relevant work experience
  • be proficient in English
  • be computer and Internet-literate
  • achieve an acceptable rating in the Milpark admission test.

ENTRY ROUTE 2

In limited cases, admission to the qualification may also take place via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Applicants in this category must demonstrate that they have sufficient professional experience by submitting the following information on application:



  • A condensed curriculum vitae
  • A biographical essay
  • A letter of recommendation from the employer (recommending the candidate for successful MBA studies).

In addition, the applicant must:

  • present him/herself for an interview with the Selection Panel.
  • present him/herself for a challenge exam if the Panel believes this to be necessary (on the merits of past work experience).
  • be 40 years old or older.
  • have 15 to 20 years’ relevant work experience.
  • be in a Senior Management or Executive position.
  • achieve an acceptable rating in the Milpark admission test.

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applications from persons who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree (old NQF Level 6 or new NQF Level 7) from a recognised university or institution will be considered. All applicants must complete an entrance assessment. Applicants with extensive work experience and/or proven leadership in their particular field of endeavour may also apply in terms of Milpark’s Recognition of Prior Learning policy; however, admission on these grounds is limited
