Crane International Academy Water and Waster Treatment Course
The Water and Wastewater Engineering programme is ideal for individuals who want to make a real difference to delivering reliable water supplies, or to maintaining and enhancing river and ground water quality. The programme is suitable for those from non-engineering and engineering disciplines alike.
The National Certificate in Engineering Studies is a National Qualification delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training.
The N1 to N3 Engineering Studies qualifications are registered on the NQF as follows:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
N1: Grade 9 (Std. 7) with Mathematics and Physical Science, or equivalent
N2: N1 National Certificate, or equivalent
N3: N2 National Certificate, or equivalent
DURATION
The duration of each level is THREE months.
Therefore a TRIMESTER timetable is followed enabling the successful learner to accumulate THREE national certificates during the course of ONE year.
QUALIFICATIONS
After successfully completing the N3 course the student will receive the National Certificate in Engineering Studies.
ASSESSMENT
The pass requirement is a minimum of 40% per subject. Evaluations are cumulative, based on regular class tests and practical testing. At the end of each trimester a NATIONAL external examination is written.
TRIMESTER FEES
The fees include all study guides, assignments, assessments and examination fees. They do not include practical sessions and prescribed text books.
