The Multi-Disciplinary Draughting National Certificate will introduce you to the fundamentals of draughting, your draughting software tools, and various draughting disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural, process plant and many more. It will prepare you for the MDDOP N4/N5 national examinations from the department of education.

We use Autodesk AutoCAD software ensuring that you are educated not only in theory, but also the industry’s No#1 CAD software. Making sure that you gain the neccessary practical experience demanded by industry.

PART 1: MULTI DISCIPLINARY DRAUGHTING CORE



During this part all students will learn draughting techniques in various different industries as well as a array of industry recodnized and utilized software. The below diagram explains the industries and software.

PART 2: SPECIALIZATIONS

During this part each student will choose a specialized industry in which they would like to focus on. We cover more CAD applications specific to each industry as well as additional subjects like project management and BIM management.

 

DURATION & QUALIFICATION
 

Duration: 12 Months via Assisted Distance Learning

National Certificate: The student will receive a national certificate form the Department of Education if all external department exams are passed. This certificate is not issued by us, but only by the department of education.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
* Grade 12 with a drawing subject such as:
– Engineering Graphics and Design
– Technical Drawing
– or other related subjects like Civil Technology, Woodwork etc.
* At least N3 with Engineering Drawing.
* Work experience and/or other qualifications might be accepted pending outcome of interview.
* Computer literate
* Maths literatureNOTE: A bridging course can be done if minimum requirements are not met.
