Inaugural Dean, African Leadership Academy

Christopher Khaemba was African Leadership Academy’s inaugural dean. Khaemba began his career as a Mathematics and Physics teacher in 1984 after leaving his position as an officer in the Kenya Air Force. In 1995, he was called by the Kenyan government to lead Friends School Kamusinga, and in just 3 years, raised the school from it 138th ranking to be ranked among the top ten schools in Kenya. Khaemba subsequently served for 10 years as Principal of Alliance Boy’s High School in Nairobi, where he steered the school back to 1st position in the national academic rankings and expanded enrollment by 25%. Khaemba received his MBA from Kenyatta University in Nairobi.
