This is also the seat of the Highveld Campus’ directorship. South of Riverlea, along the Soweto Highway, about 10 kilometres east of Soweto, is the Crown Mines Site. Crown Mines Site is situated on Shaft 17 Road, just close to the Soccer City Stadium, home of the opening and closing games of the 2010 Soccer World Cup. It boasts impressive soccer grounds which are host training grounds for the Kaizer Chiefs Football Club’s Under 17 squad. Synonymous with serenity, the Crown Mines was aptly made for the study of music and visual art.
