Dives generally take place in the mornings to take advantage of the best sea conditions. Coffee and breakfast is served in our restaurant.We use rubber ducks (zodiacs/ribs) with a maximum of 10 divers, a dive master and skipper on the boat to access the Aliwal Shoal Dive Sites. The ride out to sea is around 7km from the Mkomazi River mouth which takes about 10-15mins.
Aliwal Shoal forms the crown of a Marine Protected Area, meaning that no form of fishing is allowed on the dive sites. Divers are not allowed to touch the reef, any of the animals or take anything other than a shark teeth from the sand.

Want to do a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) come talk to us. R1500.00 will get you all your gear, pool sessions to get yourself “in the know” about scuba equipment, safety of diving, dos and don’ts and mostly the FUN of diving. Decided you want to become a Scuba Diver? AWESOME! The DSD price you paid will be deducted from the Open Water Course. Ask us about upgrading your DSD experience to a Baited Shark Dive.
Haven’t dived in a while? No stress, book your dive and we’ll hop into the pool for a few minutes and get you re-acquainted by practicing a few skills at no extra charge. Need a refresher but don’t want to dive just yet, no sweat, we can offer this service at a low price of R 500.00.
