About Western Cape Sports School
The Western Cape Sport school is an initiative of the Department of Education and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport. The school was opened in 2007.

MISSION
- To promote sport through education and research. To contribute to youth development through an awareness of fair play, self improvement and sporting achievement.
- To promote quality sport competition and participate to expose talented learners to quality coaching, teaching and learning.
- To foster and inclusive approach to school sport.
Learners’ Pledge
We, the learners of the Western Cape Sports School realising how privileged we are and recognizing our diverse backgrounds and the sacrifices made by our parents, staff and all others role players pledge to respect and protect the dignity and pride of our fellow learners, community and school.
To stand up for what is right and fair to always give of our very best in pursuit of excellence and add value to our school and our community.
We promise to act responsibly and in accordance with the dictates of our conscience! May God guide and protect us.
