UNISA Department of Language Education, Arts and Culture
Department of Language Education, Arts and Culture
Our vision
Our vision is to rethink language, arts and culture education for a new teacher. We hold a belief that a teacher capable of negotiating relationships between pedagogy, content and technology represents a form of expertise different from and broader than a teacher who only knows pedagogy, content and technology.
Our mission
Our mission is to become a balanced teaching-learning and research department responsive to communities. Our mission extends to developing teachers who understand the principles of good classroom management, high-quality teaching, and learning and assessment practices for the benefit of learners.
