NBT pass mark

NBT pass mark. The National Benchmark Test does not have anything like a specific minimum grade for a pass mark. What happens is that every university and faculty within that university uses its own scale. This is unique from university to university and from faculty to faculty.

When deciding who should be admitted or not and who should be placed in which course, this is what happens. It is advised that you do your best when taking the test.

Each time admissions are due and universities are deciding who should be given what program, some universities will broaden their scope and spectrum of the range of results, some raise the bar very high and then have a slim scope or spectrum of results to accept.

Do you have issues that need to be addressed by a university where you need admission, what is best is for you to speak to or write to the appropriate admissions office of that university?

They will be in the best position to explain issues to you.

The National Benchmark Test office is not the one that creates how the universities or institutions use the results. the NBT pass mark depends on them.

When you are ready, the first thing to do is to consult the website of your desired institution of higher learning to find out exactly how they use the National Benchmark Test scores.

This will give you a fair idea of what they are looking for, when you then consult the office of the National Benchmark Test office for your results and you are sure of your performance, you can then align or compare your results using the information gathered from the university or institution of higher learning to know your fate.

Please Note: Most Universities or Institutions of higher learning in South Africa will require the NBT, so your best bet is to take it and to do well.
