Volunteer to help kids in a Dental Clinic in Nepal

By | October 8, 2018

The Global Dental Relief Nepal clinic journey begins in the bustling capital city of Kathmandu, where we set-up a mobile dental clinic to provide first-time and return care to children in need. The one-week clinic sees hundreds of children from around the Kathmandu valley! Our clinic is assisted by local Nepali teenagers from orphanages and charity schools.

Sightseeing days include visits to the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley while soaking up the local Tibetan and Nepali culture. Volunteers often become enamored with cultural practices and are up at dawn observing Tibetans circumambulating Boudhnath Stupa. Abundant options for explorations include a journey over to Thamel, the touristy part of town – where there are many shopping deals to be had!

When the clinic has finished, volunteers have the option to board what is said to be the most exciting and adrenaline-provoking flight on earth – to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest trail. The following week is spent trekking through Sherpa villages and soaking up the vibrant colors, sites and sounds of village life. Options to travel to Chitwan National Park and Pokhara are also available.
